An Introduction to the Ministry
Ministry Purpose Statement:
David McCollum Global Ministries, Inc. was chartered in 2004 for the sole purpose of fulfilling The Great Commission (Matt. 28:19) of our Lord Jesus Christ by proclaiming the gospel through evangelism and missions and fulfilling The Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37-38) by challenging the believer to experience an intimate prayer fellowship with Christ and teaching the biblical principles of prayer to insure an effective prayer life.
Major Ministries:
The organization of the ministry functions under five major ministry divisions, all under the umbrella of David McCollum Global Ministries, Inc.
The Global Evangelism Ministry (Matthew 28:19-20):
This aspect of our ministry includes work in overseas countries, most of them Third World. It exists for the purpose of evangelizing the lost by means of crusade evangelism and personal witnessing, the planting of new churches, and discipling the saved for personal growth and ministry.
The Prayer Revival Ministry (Philippians 3:8, 10, AMP):
This facet of our ministry involves holding Prayer Revivals for the purpose of challenging, convicting, and encouraging congregations and individual believers to enter a life of prayer so they may experience an intimate and growing fellowship with the heavenly Father and with His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3)
The Prayer Seminar Ministry (Ephesians 6:18):
This arm of our ministry is the leading and teaching of a Prayer Seminar in a church congregational setting or in a retreat format for the purpose of helping the believer become an effective person of prayer. The believer is taught and grounded in the biblical principles of prayer to insure a strong and balanced prayer life.
The “Gap” Intercessory Prayer Ministry (Ezekiel 22:30; I Timothy 2:1)
In this facet of the our ministry special prayer requests, petitions, needs, and burdens are carried into a special prayer building and are laid on an altar of prayer and presented before the heavenly Father in continual weekly intercession. Prayergrams are periodically sent to those who have submitted prayer requests and needs to provide them with encouragement and spiritual strength.
The Written Word Ministry (2 Timothy 3:16):
This aspect of our ministry consists of Dr. McCollum’s teaching and writing ministry, such as newsletter articles, devotional writings, and special prayer booklets. Practical prayer booklets on how to pray the Scriptures for special needs will be provided. For example, the booklet “How To Pray For Our Soldiers” was written in 2003.
