Prayer is the greatest privilege and joy of the Christian life. What an amazing wonder that the almighty God of the universe longs for the fellowship of the believer’s heart. Prayer is the way we enter God’s presence and allow Him to change us into His Son’s image so that we may be used for His glory.
Most Christians realize the enormous importance of prayer. But many seem to lack a vibrant and consistent prayer life. No church is stronger than the prayers of her people. No Christian is stronger than his or her personal prayer life.
Satan will do everything in his power to keep the believer from praying. Why does he resist the Christian so strongly in the area of prayer? Because he knows the praying heart is liberated to bring God the most glory. Because he knows the supernatural power of God is unleashed in the life of the praying Christian. It is the praying believer who truly becomes a threat to the kingdom of darkness. It is the praying Christian who lives in the joyful presence of his Savior.
What about your prayer life? What about your time alone with God? Is your prayer altar strong or is it weak and broken? Is your prayer path open and busy or is it deserted? Your spiritual life will never rise above the level of your prayer life. You will live no greater than you pray.
Several years ago, God gave me a burden for prayer, which has led to the birth and development of the Prayer Revival and Prayer Seminar ministry. My goal is to help Christians discover the amazing longing of God for the fellowship of His children and to help them experience the immeasurable joy of an intimate relationship with their God.
