A Personal Biography
Dr. David McCollum, a Prayer Revivalist and prayer seminar leader, served as a local pastor for thirty-four years.

He is founder and President of David McCollum Global Ministries, Inc., an organization that exists for the sole purpose of fulfilling The Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ by proclaiming the gospel through evangelism and missions, and fulfilling The Great Commandment by challenging the believer to experience an intimate prayer fellowship with Christ and teaching the biblical aspects and principles of the prayer life.
Dr. McCollum implemented effective intercessory prayer ministries in each of his pastorates. Since 1982 he has been conducting Prayer Revivals and teaching Prayer Seminars in local congregations, as well as overseas. He has preached many open air crusades in Africa, South America, India, Korea, and South East Asia. During his crusades overseas he has also led Prayer Revivals specifically in the Philippines, Nigeria, and India.
Dr. McCollum is a native of Kaufman, Texas and was raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Wesleyan University, a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary.
As a young man Dr. McCollum grew up under the powerful leadership and evangelistic ministry of his pastor the late Dr. W. Fred Swank of Sagamore Hill Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He credits his strong conviction for the inerrancy of Scripture, much of his love for souls, and his passion for overseas missions to the leadership of his pastor in his early life.
He is the author of a major writing project entitled The Prayer Life: A Treatment of the Priority, Purpose, and Practice of Prayer. He has created the prayer seminar The Believer’s Balanced Prayer Life. He has also authored the booklet How to Pray for Our Soldiers.
Dr. McCollum and his wife, Linda, make their home in Louisville, Kentucky. They are the proud parents of Timothy, Chad, and Mandie and proud grandparents of Adelyn and Rowan (twins), Breccan, Hailey and Jack.
